Reachability is a measurement boundary, not the full size of Bitcoin.
Bitnodes reports peers that accepted an inbound connection during a validated crawl. Nodes behind firewalls, NAT, private networks or intermittent connections may participate without appearing here.
During the restoration, this frontend consumes normalized observations from the crawler infrastructure also used by btcnodes.io. The two websites do not share frontend code.
